August is a hot dry month in most areas of the US so I like to work inside for maintenance check list this month. An important yearly task is to clean the faucet aerators in your house. Ever heard of it?
Maintenance Tip – aerator
It’s the part of your faucet that the water comes out of. It simply unscrews and looks like a screen. The calcium, limestone and other minerals build up on it. You will want to place it in a container with warm soapy water and scrub it down with a soft brush or cloth until all of the gunk has been removed. Then just screw it back onto the faucet. Sometimes you may just want to replace it. Make sure you get the right size. There’s a wide variety on Amazon.
